Thanksgiving Thoughts

As we finish our thanksgiving traditions and meals, the board members of Preserve Minneapolis want to express our gratitude to those that support our cause.  We had a year full of exciting new opportunities combined with existing programs.  We had a great summer of walking tours with five new tours added this year.  We are thankful for all the volunteers that helped make the tours a success.  Our mobile app continued to grow with 24 new points of interest added in three neighborhoods.  We are excited to see the app convert to a website in 2017 and continue to offer new content.  The advocacy committee launched About Town, a blog offering fun articles and topical posts on Minneapolis history.  Our Breakfast and Happy Hour with a Preservationist and InstaMeets continue to grow and provide new ways to involve unique groups of people in preservation.  Lastly, we hosted a tour of the recently rehabilitated Pillsbury A Mill with our annual Donor Appreciation Event for the first time.  Thanks to all of our volunteers, the tour was a success.
Thank you to all our supporters, volunteers, and event attendees that participated this past year and years past.  You make our work inspiring and keep us motivated to advocate for the preservation of Minneapolis history.  We are truly thankful for everything you do to make this organization special.
