Once Imperiled, Now Heralded

  • Mill City Museum 710 South 2nd Street Minneapolis, MN, 55401 United States (map)

Preservation garners headlines when a building is threatened, but even when a building is saved, it often recedes into the background, along with the struggle to keep it. For this breakfast, we're celebrating once-threatened Minneapolis landmarks like the Hollywood Theater, the Forum Cafeteria, the Lake Street Sears, Roebuck & Co. Building, and many more.

These once-endangered buildings represent strong historic integrity in themselves, but they also significantly shaped parts of the city around them, impacting the visual landscape, economic vitality, and community fabric.

Join us as we discuss the stories of these buildings, how they were saved, and how they've helped form the city as we know it today.

As always, we'll leave plenty of time for questions and discussion from the audience. We'll also have coffee and breakfast treats (please bring a small donation to help offset costs).

** This event is FREE and open to the everyone. Please come and join the conversation! **
