The Old Minneapolis walking tour is co-sponsored by Preserve Minneapolis and Meet Minneapolis, with research supported by the Minnesota Historical Society. The tour will walk down Nicollet Avenue from 5th Street to the river, then down river to St. Anthony Falls, the Stone Arch Bridge and the Mill City Museum. The returning trip will be on the LRT line, from the US Bank Stadium station (Metro Transit ticket provided).

The tour will inform you on the history of and the contrast between the old buildings along Nicollet and Bridge Square as well as focus on the development of the river since 1855. The tour will end at the Mill City Museum where guests will have their choice of viewing the museum or receiving a pass for another day. In addition to the Mill City Museum, guests will be able to take in the Mill City Farmers market, held under the train shed of the Museum and the Chicago Plaza, next to the Guthrie Theater.
